Little is thought about the two Christian saints, St. Victor and St. Crown. Most sources accept they were murdered close to one another in Roman Syria during the reign of Marcus Aurelius in 170 A.D. what's more, that a Roman appointed authority named Sebastian requested for their demises.

Victor was accepted to be a Roman officer. After his Christianity was found, different officers carried Victor to confront judgment before Sebastian. Sebastian was known for being an intense man who loathed Christians.

Sebastian, needing to create an object lesson with Victor, requested to be bound to a column and whipped until his skin tumbled from his body. After the whipping, Sebastian requested Victor's eyes to be gouged out.
